Windows and carpets, brought back rather than tidied.
Interior glass that does not streak in the afternoon sun, and carpets where the traffic path has stopped being the first thing you notice. Book either on its own, or add both to a clean you already have scheduled.
Glass and carpet are the two things people notice without being able to say why. A room can be spotless and still read as tired if the windows are hazy and there is a darker strip of carpet running from the door to the sofa — and neither of those responds to an ordinary weekly clean.
Both are also the most common add-ons to another service, which is usually the cheaper way to buy them: the team is already on site, so you are paying for the work rather than for the visit. Add either to a deep clean, a move-out clean or a recurring plan and we will price it in.

Who books this service
And, just as usefully, what it does not cover — so nothing comes as a surprise.
- An add-on to a deep or move-out clean The team is already there, so it is the most economical way to book it.
- Rented homes with a carpet clause Some leases require carpets professionally cleaned at the end of a tenancy — worth checking yours.
- Homes with pets or young children Traffic paths, nose-height glass and spot treatment, on whatever cycle keeps ahead of it.
- Offices and customer-facing spaces Entrance glass and reception carpet take the most traffic and get noticed first.
What this service does not include
- Exterior windows above ground-floor level, or anything needing ladders, poles or access equipment
- Full wet extraction or steam shampooing of heavily soiled carpet — quoted after we have seen it
- Carpet repair, re-stretching, patching and re-fitting
- Curtain and blind take-down, laundering or dry cleaning
- Permanent dye stains, bleach marks, burns and pet damage to underlay
Some marks are damage rather than dirt, and no amount of cleaning shifts them. We will tell you what will realistically improve and roughly by how much before you book, not after.
Window & Carpet Cleaning — common questions
The things people ask before booking this particular service.
Do you clean the outside of windows too?
Ground-floor exteriors, where they can be reached safely from the ground. Anything above that needs ladders or access equipment and a specialist, and we would rather refer you than take a risk with your property or our team.
Is this the same as carpet shampooing?
No. This is a high-power vacuum, traffic-path work, spot treatment and deodorising, which is what most carpets actually need. Full wet extraction for heavily soiled or long-neglected carpet is a separate quote, and we will tell you which one yours needs when we see it.
How long do carpets take to dry?
With the standard service, barely any time — it is a dry treatment aside from spot work, so a room is usable straight away. Wet extraction is different and needs several hours with air moving through the room, which is worth planning around.
Will it get the traffic path out?
It usually improves it substantially, and sometimes it disappears. What is left after a proper clean is fibre wear rather than dirt — the pile has been flattened and abraded by footfall, and no cleaning method rebuilds it. We will be straight with you about which one you are looking at.
Can I just add this to my regular clean?
Yes, and it is the cheapest way to buy it. Mention it in your quote request or tell your regular team, and we will add it to a scheduled visit rather than charging you for a separate one.
